As an Agricultural Training Board instructor Tim has been involved in training for 30 years and it is now Abbey Tree Care's policy to have at least one young person as a trainee. We believe that any industry needs to nurture young people for the industry to survive. Over the years we have had many students and apprentices from the local college who have learned their trade with us.

Abbey Tree Care was formed approximately 25 years ago by Tim Batley, then an agricultural fencing contractor. Dutch Elm disease was sweeping the country and, as Tim had chainsaws, people were asking him to take the dead trees out of their gardens.

Abbey Tree Care are specialized in large and dangerous tree work and operates within a fifty mile radius of Derby and Nottingham. Experience of all aspects of tree work, including felling, thinning, reducing, cable bracing and stump grinding.
